TORONTO -- Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Joffrey Lupul was knicked out of Thursday's game with the Philadelphia Flyers at the Bell Centre after suffering an upper body injury in the first period.
Lupul was sandwiched on a hit by Philadelphia's Adam Hall and Jay Rosehill. Rosehill appeared to catch the Leafs forward's head on the follow through. Lupul played just three shifts and 1 minute, 40 seconds.
It's Lupul's second injury of the season after he missed 25 games with a broken arm suffered in January.
The 29-year-old has eight goals and six assists in 10 games this season. He suffered a season-ending shoulder injury last March.
