LB Foster commits to Alabama

Rueben Foster, the nation's top inside linebacker recruit, re-committed to Alabama Monday night, according to multiple reports.

He had initially committed to the program as a high-school sophomore, but also considered rival Auburn.

Foster, from Auburn (Ala.) High School, told Fox SportsSouth Monday that he chose the two-time defending national champion Crimson Tide over the Tigers and Georgia.

Scout.com ranks Foster as the nation's No. 2 prospect.

"I was just confused," Foster said on "The New College Football Show." "I went on the air and just came out with the heart."

Since first committing to Alabama, Foster had changed to Auburn, but later withdrew that promise after coach Gene Chizik was fired.
