The Hall of Fame career of Tito Ortiz will come to an end at UFC 148 when he completes his trilogy with Forrest Griffin. At times, Ortiz has been the most loved fighter in the sport and other times has been the most hated fighter in the sport. At the tail end of his career, Ortiz has gotten back in the good graces of the fans and Dana White, but the odds makers haven't gone in his favor in quite a while. How has he fared in his previous five fights when it comes to the odds?
Tito Ortiz +110 vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira -140
After his respectable showing against Evans, the odds makers felt a little more comfortable with Ortiz heading into his fight with Lil' Nog. While Nogueira may have been the slight favorite, he dominated Ortiz and won via TKO in the first round; making me think he should have been favored more.
Tito Ortiz +300 vs. Rashad Evans -450
When Ortiz beat Bader, many felt that he was ready to compete with the best in the sport again. He took this fight with Evans on short notice, fighting a little more than a month later. He was the heavy underdog and never had a chance, losing by TKO in the second round.
Tito Ortiz +245 vs. Ryan Bader -305
This was a fight that Bader needed to win, especially after he was assaulted by Jon Jones in his previous fight. He came into the fight with the mindset that he was going to steamroll Ortiz and the complete opposite happened. Ortiz caught Bader and got the submission win just 1:56 into the first round.
Tito Ortiz +120 vs. Matt Hamill -150
In what was one of the biggest fights in the career of Hamill, the student defeated the teacher. Hamill was coached by Ortiz on The Ultimate Fighter and controlled his coach for most of their 15-minute fight.
Tito Ortiz +125 vs. Forrest Griffin -105
After Ortiz picked up the split decision victory against Griffin in their first meeting, this fight was Griffin's turn to get the same decision. Griffin was the minor favorite in this fight and made things interesting for whoever took the chance on him.
