Lap 394 -- Jeff Gordon flashes past Jimmie Johnson for second place. He's going after Brad Keselowski!

Lap 392 -- Brad Keselowski is now the leader.

Lap 391 -- Denny Hamlin gives up the lead to pit for a splash of gas.

Lap 389 -- Kyle Busch is slowing to make the move to pit road. The lead is now Denny Hamlin's.

Lap 385 -- Brad Keselowski gets third place from Jimmie Johnson, who's still not sure he can go the rest of the way without stopping.

Lap 366 -- Kyle Busch is told he can't make it on fuel.

Lap 363 -- Denny Hamlin goes by Jimmie Johnson for second. Johnson is in full-on conservation mode. A bad day gets worse for Kasey Kahne, who'll have to return to pit road with a missing lug nut.

Lap 362 -- Kasey Kahne has a loose right front tire, so he hits pit road.

Lap 360 -- Jimmie Johnson is told to run at about 80 percent throttle to save fuel.

Lap 354 -- Kyle Busch goes around Jimmie Johnson for the lead on the backstretch.

Lap 352 -- Third-place Denny Hamlin is about 1.4 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 350 -- Fifty laps to go. Kasey Kahne reports that he might have a loose wheel.

Lap 348 -- Kasey Kahne has poked his way into the top five.

Lap 342 -- Report is that Jimmie Johnson could make it the rest of the way without stopping if he could somehow save some fuel. But with Kyle Busch on his bumper, that's going to be hard to do.

Lap 333 -- Kyle Busch is shadowing Jimmie Johnson's every move on the race track.

Lap 329 -- There's a lot of discussion concerning whether teams will be able to make it the rest of the way without pitting for fuel. It's going to be close!

Lap 327 -- Denny Hamlin finally clears Brad Keselowski for third on the backstretch.

Lap 326 -- Denny Hamlin gets under Brad Keselowski for third place coming off Turn 2.

Lap 324 -- Kyle Busch looks very low under Jimmie Johnson for the lead in Turn 2, but can't get position.

Lap 322 -- GREEN FLAG: The top five are Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards. Johnson is clear with the lead in Turn 1.

Lap 320 -- Martin Truex Jr. gets the free pass. There are now 10 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 319 -- Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Kasey Kahne are pitting.

Lap 317 -- YELLOW FLAG: Matt Kenseth spins between Turns 3 and 4.

Lap 316 -- GREEN FLAG: The leaders on the restart are Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon. Johnson is clear before he gets to the starter's stand. Hamlin tries Busch for second, but can't make it.

Lap 311 -- The leaders are pitting.

Lap 309 -- Matt Kenseth is on pit road.

Lap 308 -- YELLOW FLAG: Something has broken underneath Matt Kenseth's Ford. He was in 14th place, two laps down. This is the fourth caution of the day.

Lap 306 -- Tony Stewart is on pit road.

Lap 304 -- Joey Logano is running in 10th place.

Lap 300 -- One hundred laps to go. The top five are Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 295 -- The traffic turned out to be not that big a deal for Kyle Busch, who now leads Jimmie Johnson by 9/10ths of a second.

Lap 291 -- Kyle Busch is running up on some lapped traffic, with Jimmie Johnson right in his tire tracks.

Lap 288 -- Same story up front. Kyle Busch has the lead and Jimmie Johnson wants it.

Lap 283 -- Jimmie Johnson is closing back in on Kyle Busch in their tug-of-war for the race lead.

Lap 279 -- Kyle Busch has picked up a few car lengths on Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 277 -- Jimmie Johnson has caught Kyle Busch for the top spot, thanks to some lapped traffic.

Lap 273 -- The top five are Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 244 -- Denny Hamlin has cut nearly two seconds off Kyle Busch's lead in the last several laps. Is he getting faster or is Busch slowing down?

Lap 238 -- Mark Martin, running in ninth place, made his first Cup start here at Dover in May 1982. That's just cool.

Lap 233 -- The top five are separated by 5.5 seconds. It's 7.2 seconds back to sixth-place Clint Bowyer and 18.2 to seventh-place Carl Edwards, the final car on the lead lap.

Lap 228 -- Leader Kyle Busch isn't expected on pit road for another 20, 25 laps or so.

Lap 176 -- Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are still hanging around the bottom half of the top 10, in ninth and 10th places, respectively.

Lap 173 -- Denny Hamlin has chopped a few tenths of a second off Kyle Busch's advantage.

Lap 169 -- Brad Keselowski is pushing hard to stay on the lead lap in sixth place. He's in front of leader Kyle Busch by several car lengths.

Lap 166 -- Sunny for most of the race, the track is now mostly overcast.

Lap 163 -- Kyle Busch leads Denny Hamlin by about 1.2 seconds.

Lap 158 -- After the cycle of stops, the top five are Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer. Brad Keselowski was able to stay on the lead lap following the slow stop, but just barely. He's in sixth place, the last car on the lead lap.

Lap 152 -- Brad Keselowski stays out to lead a few laps, but when he stops, it's disastrous. The jack appears to have broken while changing the left-side tires.

Lap 149 -- Clint Bowyer drops onto pit road.

Lap 148 -- Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin stop.

Lap 147 -- Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Mark Martin, Paul Menard, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Marcos Ambrose are on pit road.

Lap 132 -- The gap between leader Kyle Busch and second-place Denny Hamlin remains solid at a few car lengths.

Lap 125 -- There are just seven cars on the lead lap. They include Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards.

Lap 122 -- Mark Martin is having a fairly solid day back in 10th place.

Lap 119 -- Brad Keselowski is still in sixth place. He's not moving forward, but he's not falling back, either!

Lap 117 -- Kyle Busch has powered away from Denny Hamlin by about 8/10ths of a second.

Lap 112 -- The top five are separated by about four seconds.

Lap 107 -- The chase for second place between Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson has settled down for the time being.

Lap 102 -- Jimmie Johnson has caught Denny Hamlin, who is battling lapped traffic, in a tussle for second place.

Lap 100 -- Denny Hamlin trails leader Kyle Busch by about half a second.

Lap 90 -- The top five is Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon.

Lap 82 -- Kyle Busch hasn't been able to shake Denny Hamlin following the restart.

Lap 78 -- Jimmie Johnson slides under Clint Bowyer for third place.

Lap 77 -- GREEN FLAG: Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon are the leaders. There are only eight cars on the lead lap. Busch clears easily with the lead.

Lap 75 -- Just before the green, 23 cars get the wave-around. The restart is waved off.

Lap 72 -- Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson and a few other cars that hadn't pitted before the caution are finally getting serviced.

Lap 70 -- Denny Hamlin and a few other cars are on the apron of the track, trying to keep fuel in the lines.

Lap 69 -- YELLOW FLAG: There's debris on the track from J.J. Yeley's car blown tire.

Lap 68 -- Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne are in their pit stalls.

Lap 67 -- Greg Biffle pits.

Lap 66 -- Kevin Harvick is on pit road.

Lap 65 -- Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. are pitting.

Lap 61 -- Kurt Busch just pitted.

Lap 59 -- Tony Stewart, in 21st place, just went a lap down.

Lap 56 -- Brad Keselowski is having a decent day back in sixth place, but to contend for the title, it's got to be better!

Lap 53 -- Jeff Gordon is still trying to figure out a way past Clint Bowyer for third place. They're about 6.2 seconds behind leader Kyle Busch.

Lap 50 -- Kyle Busch now has a few car lengths over Denny Hamlin.

Lap 47 -- Jeff Gordon is going after Clint Bowyer for third place. Gordon is running high in the turns, while Bowyer is consistently taking the low side.

Lap 45 -- Ryan Newman has moved into the top 10.

Lap 42 -- Denny Hamlin is now about 8/10ths of a second behind leader Kyle Busch.

Lap 37 -- Don't look now, but Jimmie Johnson has bulled his way into the top five.

Lap 4 -- Clint Bowyer has overcome the problem at the green flag to ride solidly in second place.

Lap 1 -- GREEN FLAG: The race gets under way at 2:19 p.m. ET. Clint Bowyer wiggles big time at the start, which allows pole-sitter Denny Hamlin to clear with the lead.

2:14 p.m. ET -- The pace car is rolling!
