LaMarcus Aldridge posted his 30th double-double this season, scoring 27 points and registering 15 rebounds, to help the Portland Trail Blazers squeak by the Toronto Raptors, 106-103. Portland (34-13) gets one in the win column after losing to Memphis on Tuesday.
Aldridge went 8-22 and converted 11-14 from the free throw line. Damian Lillard contributed 21 points and 7 assists for Portland as well. DeMar DeRozan had another strong performance for Toronto despite the loss, putting up 36 points on 14-29 shooting (2-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-9 from the free throw line. He also added 12 assists. Kyle Lowry contributed 23 points and 8 assists and Patrick Patterson finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
This loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Toronto, dropping them to 25-22 on the year.
Coming up, the Trail Blazers battle the Washington Wizards, who are 23-23 on the season. The Raptors match up with the Utah Jazz, currently sitting at 16-31 this year. The Raptors have a 1-0 record against Utah this season.
