BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) -- Alex Ball hit a 41-yard field goal with 15 seconds left in the game to give Larmar a 46-45 victory over Stephen F. Austin Saturday night.
Ball booted three other field goals during the close contest that saw five lead changes. But his last sent the crowd away happy in hometown finale at Beaumont.
Trailing by two late in the fourth, the Cardinals (5-6, 2-4 Southland) took over on downs and drove to the Lumberjacks' 24-yard line to set up the field goal attempt. With the final seconds ticking off, Ball punched it 41 yards - his longest of the night - to take a one point lead for the win.
Quarterback Caleb Berry was 43 of 55 for 393 yards and three touchdowns. Freshman running back Kade Harrington rushed for 105 yards.
Brady Attaway threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns for the Lumberjacks (3-8, 1-5).
