Los Angeles Lakers backup swingman Devin Ebanks was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of drunken driving, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Ebanks, 23, was pulled over at 2:49 a.m. in the Hollywood area by police. He was booked and released after posting $5,000 bail.
The Lakers issued the following statement: "We are aware of the situation with Devin and are currently looking into the matter to gather all the facts. We have no further comment on this at this time."
Ebanks' contract calls for him to be paid $1.4 million this season. He is averaging 2.5 points and about 10 minutes per game this season.
