Kyuji Fujikawa: Set to Move to MLB

Rotowire.com
Update: Fujikawa will elect to become an international free agent and will try to sign with an MLB team, the Kyodo news service reports.

Recommendation: Fujikawa is Japan's top reliever and had 24 saves with a 1.32 ERA for the Hanshin Tigers in 2012. His strikeout rate was his lowest since he became a closer, but was still a strong 0.95 K/9 IP and he had good control (just 15 walks in 47.2 innings). He should find interest from several MLB teams, but it's not clear if he'd win a closer role right away at age 32.
