Kyrie Irving has had a couple profanely interesting days with Team USA

In the month since winning the NBA title, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has been enjoying himself as a grown man should. For instance, this good old-fashioned morning yacht party.

Believe it or not, grown men use profane language, too, and so we shouldn’t be surprised that Irving has been both the subject and perpetrator of a couple colorful jokes in his first few days with Team USA. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy those jokes, especially if they’re funny for whatever reason.

First, there was Irving’s exchange with his former basketball coach at Duke University, Mike Krzyzewski, who was mic’d up on NBA TV for Wednesday’s practice in preparation of next month’s 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Irving messed with Coach K during his explanation of an inbounds play, and Coach K apparently is not a man to be messed with during this moment, since the often buttoned-up Blue Devils skipper dropped an audible “f— you” on Irving, not once, but twice.

For those inclined to see Krzyzewski put a three-time All-Star in his place, below is video, edited from an explicit version that aired on TV and was captured for posterity by @itsparker708 on Instagram.

Not only is it fun to watch a 69-year-old man of esteemed character — a former player and coach for the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. — speak so candidly with a former protégé, it also offers some insight into the command Krzyzewski has of the court and why he’s the head coach of a USA Basketball Men’s National Team replete with the egos of a dozen highly paid NBA superstars.

But I don’t need to tell you why Mike Krzyzewski twice saying “f— you” to Kyrie Irving is a gas.

And so I shouldn’t need to explain Irving’s next brush with profanity much, either. While conducting an interview with Lakers Nation about USA Basketball Select point guard D’Angelo Russell on Thursday, Irving was spotted sporting a rather fascinating bracelet by an astute Redditor.

If you can’t quite make the bracelet out, it says, “Don’t Be a Little B—-,” which is a useful reminder when you’re going against the greatest basketball players in the world, or at least the ones who aren’t resting injuries or fearful of the Zika virus. The other side apparently says, “Champions Dominate” — also appropriate — and you can order one yourself from GrantCardone.com for $5, although beware the $28.99 shipping cost, which is a whole lot easier to swallow when you’re making $17.6 million.

I’m just going to assume Krzyzewski ordered this bracelet for Irving.

And you’ll be glad to know a Getty Images archive search of Irving’s photos from the past week appears to reveal the Cavs star wearing this bracelet and several others in his official Team USA photo, while signing autographs with children and as he appears in an interview on live television.

So, as you watch Team USA embark on their mission for global domination at the Rio Olympics, keep your eyes and ears peeled, because you never know when the next grown man joke will pop up.
