Kyle Lohse turns in a quality outing Friday

Brewers pitcher Kyle Lohse turned in a quality outing Friday against the Reds.

Lohse allowed two runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out six and walked two during the outing. Lohse got himself in trouble early, giving up a solo home run against the second batter he faced. The early run didn’t seem to bother Lohse, as he tossed five straight scoreless innings following the first. He allowed another run in the seventh. With one out, and men in scoring position, Brayan Pena managed to hit a sac fly, tying the game.

Lohse left with the game tied, picking up the no-decision. He’ll take on the Cardinals in his next start.
