Paul Millsap put up 20 points on 8-18 shooting, including 2-6 on 3-point attempts. Kyle Korver also contributed for Atlanta, finishing with 20 points and 5 rebounds. James Harden had another quality performance for Houston despite the loss, scoring 25 points on 6-14 shooting (2-3 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 11-14 from the free throw line. He also tallied 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Dwight Howard added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Rockets had 15 assists against 16 turnovers for a ratio of .94. This year, they are 6-5 when having more turnovers than assists in a game. Conversely, the Hawks are undefeated (2-0) when holding their opponents below an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.00.
This drops Houston (23-14) to 1-1 against Atlanta on the year.
