Pitcher Hiroki Kuroda will be staying the New York Yankees. They re-signed the right-hander with a one-year $15 million deal, according to ESPN.com. That's a $5 million raise from last season for Kuroda, who reportedly was considering offers from the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels after becoming a free agent. He also was considering an opportunity to return to his native Japan. Kuroda, 37, was 16-11 last season with a 3.32 ERA in his first season with the Yankees after playing four seasons with the Dodgers. He also struck out 167 batters in 219 2/3 innings. Just 10 days ago, he turned down arbitration from the Yankees, which included a $13.3 million qualifying offer.
