The Los Angeles Lakers pulled out the close victory against the Charlotte Bobcats, 88-85. Los Angeles (11-12) entered the game on a three losing streak.
Kobe Bryant put up 21 points on 8-15 shooting, including 2-5 on 3-point attempts. Other top performers for Los Angeles were Pau Gasol with 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Jordan Hill with 15 points and 9 rebounds. On 10-13 shooting, including 2-4 from behind the arc, Kemba Walker put up 24 points for Charlotte in the loss. He also added 8 assists. Al Jefferson contributed 14 points and 9 rebounds and Gerald Henderson finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
In addition to 15.4% from 3-point range, the Bobcats tallied an eFG% of just 44.9%. They are 1-7 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Lakers, conversely, are 3-3 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
Charlotte (10-14) has now lost three straight contests.
Coming up next, the Lakers square off with the Atlanta Hawks, who are 12-11 on the year. The Bobcats go up against the Sacramento Kings, currently 6-15 this season. The Lakers are 1-0 versus Atlanta this season.
