Kobe Bryant: (Achilles) Thinks He Can Play 3 More Years

Rotowire.com
Update: Bryant (Achilles) believes that he can play for a minimum of three more seasons, Lakers.com reports. "I feel pretty damn confident I can be at a high level for at least another three years," Bryant said.

Recommendation: Bryant will head in to the 2013-14 season as a 35-year-old in the final year of his contract rehabbing a torn Achilles tendon. That would be a death sentence for most players, but Bryant scored 27.3 points per game on 46 percent shooting last season, so he should have quite a bit left in the tank once he gets healthy. Although he's currently aiming for a November or December return, it's too early for a specific timetable.
