Knicks F/C Wallace has stress fracture in footBy The Sports Xchange | The SportsXchange – Sat, Dec 22, 2012 2:40 PM EST
The New York Knicks confirmed to ESPN New York on Saturday that power forward/center Rasheed Wallace has a stress fracture and chronic condition in his left foot. Wallace was previously diagnosed with a sore foot. He is still considered day to day. Wallace, the team's backup center, has missed the last four games. Tyson Chandler, the starter, has picked up more minutes with Wallace out. The Knicks are particularly thin in the front court with Marcus Camby out with plantar fasciitis and Amar'e Stoudemire has not played at all this season since he is recovering from left knee surgery. Stoudemire will not play Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but coach Mike Woodson said Stoudemire will travel with the team on its next road trip.
