Knicks' Davis suffers dislocated knee cap

New York Knicks guard Baron Davis injured his right knee during the Game 4 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday and had to be taken off the floor in a cart.

The injury was diagnosed a dislocated patella (knee cap), ESPN's Lisa Salters reported. Davis is scheduled to be examined further on Monday to determine whether there is any tructural damage.

Davis, who was in the starting lineup, had two points and two assists in 25 minutes before the injury.

The probable loss of Davis for Game 5 adds to the Knicks' backcourt problems. Iman Shumpert tore his ACL in Game 1 of the Miami series, and Jeremy Lin has been out since March 24 with a knee injury.

Lin is not sure whether he'll be able to return during the series against Miami.

Game 5 is Wednesday night in Miami.
