NBA free-agency tracker:

Knicks could be without Smith for Game 3

The SportsXchange

The New York Knicks could miss a key component of their bench on Saturday night as sixth man J.R. Smith is questionable with an illness.

The Knicks visit the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of their second round playoff series tied 1-1.

Smith's illness prevented him from participating in Saturday morning's shootaround.

Iman Shumpert, Pablo Prigioni or Chris Copeland would play a bigger role for the Knicks if Smith cannot go.

Smith averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in the first two games of the series but on 23.3 percent (7-for-30) shooting.
