Injuries continue to plague the New York Jets. The latest casualty is safety Eric Smith with an injured knee. Coach Rex Ryan announced Thursday that Smith was hurt in Wednesday's practice and won't play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Smith sat out the Jets' opener with hip and knee problems but returned and played in every game since then. "Luckily, it's just a sprained knee," Ryan said. "I'll be honest: I thought it was going to be much worse than that." The injury bug has claimed cornerback Darrelle Revis, wide receiver Santonio Holmes and defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis.
