Kluwe says he's joining Raiders

Punter Chris Kluwe, wide receiver Josh Cribbs and quarterback Matt McGloin have landed in Oakland.

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie announced the Cribbs and McGloin signings on Thursday, while Kluwe took to twitter to say he'll be wearing the silver and black.

"I'm excited to be an Oakland Raider and be playing in California," said Kluwe, who went to UCLA. "Now, my family can actually come to games. Hopefully, I'll be able to play for the next seven years and end my career in California."

Kluwe will replace kicker Shane Lechler, who signed with the Houston Texans.

Kluwe, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month, is one of the National Football League's more outspoken activists, and has long supported same-sex marriage, as well as former Raiders punter Ray Guy's Hall of Fame candidacy.

Cribbs, the NFL career leader with eight kickoff-return touchdowns, was named as the kick returner on the 2000s NFL All-Decade team. He has played in 124 career games in eight seasons, all with the Cleveland Browns.

McGloin went unselected in the NFL Draft. He set a Nittany Lions record with 46 touchdown passes, and in 2012 set single-season organization marks in completions (270) and passing yards (3,266).
