Klose returns to Germany national team

Germany coach Joachim Low has recalled Lazio striker Miroslav Klose for the upcoming international friendlies against England and Italy.

The experienced attacker missed the Nationalelf's past few games due to injury, but is set to make his comeback after regaining peak fitness.

Furthermore, Marcel Schmelzer has received a call-up after being forced to miss the World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Sweden through injury.

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller could make his debut for Germany's senior side as he replaces Robert Zieler in the 24-man squad.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger misses out as he is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right ankle.

Germany takes on Italy on Nov. 15 in Milan, before traveling to London for the game against England on Nov. 19.
