Joakim Noah put up his 24th double-double this season, scoring 18 points and registering 13 rebounds, to help the Chicago Bulls sneak past the Los Angeles Lakers, 92-86. Chicago (25-25) picked up the win after falling to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
Noah went 6-10 from the field and 6-6 from the free throw line, in a quality performance offensively. Other key performers for Chicago were Kirk Hinrich with 19 points and 5 assists, Taj Gibson with 18 points and 6 rebounds, and D.J. Augustin with 15 points and 6 assists. Chris Kaman had a quality performance off the bench for Los Angeles in the loss, putting up 27 points on 13-23 shooting from the field and 1-4 from the free throw line. He also tallied 10 rebounds. Jordan Hill contributed 15 points and 9 rebounds and Kendall Marshall finished with 13 points and 11 assists.
This drops Los Angeles (18-33) to 0-2 versus Chicago on the season.
