Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler was scratched from Sunday's lineup with a stiff lower back and was replaced by top-prospect Jurickson Profar, who hit a home run in his first major-league at-bat in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Indians.
Kinsler's injury is not considered serious and he could play on Monday against the Kansas City Royals.
Profar, 19, was called up from Class AA Frisco on Saturday. He is ranked as the Rangers' top minor league prospect and the fourth best overall by MLB.com. He batted hit .281 with 14 home runs, 62 RBI, 76 runs scored, 26 doubles and seven triples in 126 games at Frisco.
Profar became the youngest active player in the majors when he was called up.
