Kings place F Carter on IR

The Los Angeles Kings placed forward Jeff Carter on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, NHL.com reported Saturday.

The Kings recalled forwards Tyler Toffoli and Linden Vey from Manchester of the AHL.

Los Angeles hosts the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Carter has five goals and four assists in 14 games this season. He led the Western Conference with 26 goals last season.

Carter's injury was not specified by the team but he was reportedly wearing a walking boot at practice Friday.
