Kings add Gaborik, McNabb is separate deals

The Los Angeles Kings acquired forward Marian Gaborik from the Columbus Blue Jackets for forward Matt Frattin and two draft picks Wednesday.

Gaborik, who appeared in just 22 games this season due to a collarbone injury, will be an unrestricted free-agent at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old Gaborik appeared in just 22 games this season due to a collarbone injury, and has six goals and 14 points.

The Blue Jackets acquired Gaborik last season as part of the Rick Nash deal with the New York Rangers.

Gaborik has 342 goals and 688 points over 13 seasons with the Blue Jackets, Rangers and Minnesota Wild. The 26-year-old Frattin, has two goals in 40 games this season.

The move comes after the Kings acquired Brayden McNabb and two second-round picks from the Buffalo Sabres for prospects winger Hudson Fasching and defenseman Nicolas Deslauriers.
