Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Kevin O'Neill hires law firm, could sue Dolphins

National Football Post

Former Miami Dolphins trainer Kevin O'Neill appears to be preparing for a potential lawsuit against his former employer, according to a report from the Palm Beach Post.

O'Neill has hired the law firm Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley to represent him. It's possible he sues for wrongful termination.

O'Neill was mentioned in the Ted Wells report that investigated Richie Incognito, Mike Pouncey and John Jerry's role in bullying Jonathan Martin. The report also stated that an assistant trainer with the Dolphins, an Asian-American man, had racial slurs spoken in his direction.

In the report, O'Neill was allegedly aware and in one instance laughed at a racially charged joke.

The law firm released a rebuttal to the Palm Beach Post.

"In fact, The Wells Report comes nowhere near supporting the decision of the Dolphins’ management to sack Mr. O’Neill," one paragraph of the lengthy rebuttal read. "Instead it demonstrates that Kevin O’Neill was improperly singled out to placate an understandable public outcry for action in response to what was publicly portrayed as intolerable workplace bullying."
