In an impressive all-around performance, Kevin Love scored 22 points and added 10 rebounds and 7 assists to help the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Sacramento Kings, 108-97. Minnesota (29-29) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
Love shot 4-12 from the field (2-5 on 3-pointers) and 12-14 from the free throw line. Nikola Pekovic contributed 20 points and 9 rebounds for Minnesota as well. On 8-14 shooting, including 4-7 from behind the arc, Rudy Gay put up 24 points for Sacramento in the loss. Isaiah Thomas added 22 points and 8 assists and DeMarcus Cousins finished with 21 points and 17 rebounds.
Sacramento (20-39) has now lost three straight games.
Coming up, the Timberwolves play the Denver Nuggets, who are 25-33 on the season. The Kings match up with the New Orleans Pelicans, currently sitting at 23-36 this year. The Timberwolves came away with a loss in two of their last three games against Denver. The Kings are 1-1 versus New Orleans this season.
