Update: Garnett (illness/thigh) was on Tuesday's team flight to New Orleans.
Recommendation: We wouldn't expect the Celtics to rule Garnett out a full day before the game, so this comes as no surprise. It sounds like his thigh has healed to the point that only the flu symptoms linger as a real threat to Garnett's status. We'd tentatively expect him to play Wednesday against the Hornets, although it could come down to a game-time decision, as was the case Monday night against Miami.
