Last preseason Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler pretended to be a team fan at Honda Center.

This tricked many people at the arena, who thought Kesler was one of them. This preseason, Ducks defenseman Kevin Bieksa decided to go undercover as a member of the ice crew nicknamed “Shovelboy” and fooled more than just fans. Even some of his teammates, and members of the Arizona Coyotes, were clueless as Bieksa skated around them in disguise.

Here is the video of Bieksa wearing glasses and a fake mustache.

There are a few noteworthy moments in this video. Bieksa almost took out defenseman Cam Fowler twice. He slowly skated past the Coyotes bench slowly and said, “beep, beep, Coyotes” but none of those players seemed to figure out “Shovelboy” was indeed Bieksa.

Near the end of the video Bieksa grabbed John Gibson’s butt, which made Gibson react in surprise. He also messed up the hair of both Sami Vatanen and Chris Wagner during a photo.

Overall, it was a solid effort by the Ducks and Bieksa to build on the work Kesler started last year and inject a different type of humor.
