Kerry Washington Shows Off Post-Baby Body in First Red Carpet Appearance Since Giving Birth

Kerry Washington walked the red carpet Thursday, for her first appearance since giving birth to her second child in October.

The 39-year-old Scandal star looked stunning, wearing a low-cut, A-line, floral cocktail dress that hugged her body as she walked the red carpet at the Ambassadors for Humanity Gala Benefiting USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles.

Her hair slicked back in a sleek ponytail, Washington accessorized the look with a pair of ankle-strap sandals, a black clutch and a trendy black choker.

Her husband Nnamdi Asomugha was by her side — wearing a fitted blue suit, a crisp white shirt and a classic black tie.

Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, JJ Abrams and James Corden were also in attendance at the event, which took place at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

Washington and Asomugha welcomed their second child, son Caleb Kelechi Asomugha, on Oct. 5, in Los Angeles.

Caleb joins big sister Isabelle Amarachi, 2.

She recently thanked fans for all the love and support she received after giving birth to Caleb on Oct. 5.

“I saw all your very kind & thoughtful congratulatory tweets. So yeah we thank you. Xo,” she wrote along with a heart eye emoji.

Washington and former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Asomugha were married in July 2013, and announced their second child was on the way in April. She made her baby bump debut at the Met Gala in May, wearing a sequined Marc Jacobs gown and sporting purple tresses.

While this is the first time Washington has walked the red carpet since giving birth to her second child, she’ll be back on the press circuit at the beginning of next year promoting the sixth season of Scandal, which premieres Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
