Faried shot 9-15 from the field, in a quality offensive outing. Other key performers for Denver were Evan Fournier with 14 points and 6 rebounds, Ty Lawson with 13 points and 9 assists, and J.J. Hickson with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Despite the loss, Ray Allen put up 22 points off the bench for Miami on 7-9 shooting, including 5-7 from behind the arc. Dwyane Wade contributed 19 points and 6 assists, Mario Chalmers finished with 16 points and 6 assists, and Chris Andersen put up 14 points and 6 rebounds.
This drops Miami (44-19) to 1-1 against Denver on the year.
