Kelly: Vick unlikely for Eagles vs. Raiders

Coach Chip Kelly said Michael Vick's hamstring injury will likely keep him out this week for the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Oakland Raiders.

Vick missed two games and took himself out of Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. He told Kelly, 'I can't go' after hearing his hamstring make an audible pop. Vick is scheduled for tests Monday to determine the length of time he could miss, but the 33-year-old expected it to several weeks.

Kelly said on his weekly radio appearance Monday that he doesn't expect to have Vick.

The quandary becomes whether the Eagles have two healthy quarterbacks without him. Nick Foles wasn't cleared before the 15-7 loss to the Giants and the Eagles' depth chart, Kelly confirmed, would be dependent upon Foles' status.

G.J. Kinne was signed to the practice squad last week and would be elevated to the roster if necessary, backing up rookie Matt Barkley.

Until the flying MRI exams and concussion evaluations land on his desk, Kelly is uncertain who would be under center when the Eagles play the Raiders next Sunday in Oakland.

"(Foles) still hasn't been cleared to fully practice, so that's a big question mark going into next week," Kelly said. "I really don't know (who will start next Sunday). It really depends on the full report on Mike and the full report on Nick."

Before leaving Sunday's game, Vick completed six of nine passes for 31 yards with an interception. He was also sacked once drew an intentional-grounding penalty. The interception occurred on the Eagles' third offensive play from scrimmage.

Barkley completed 17 of 26 passes for 158 yards with one interception.

Vick is 2-4 as the Eagles' starter this season. Philadelphia went 1-1 in Foles' starts.

"I think when you're unsettled at that (quarterback) position in this league, it's real difficult," Kelly said.
