News of the Duchess’s upcoming trip comes less than two weeks after she and William returned from Paris following a whirlwind two-day visit to the French capital. The focus of the visit was on the special relationship between France and post-Brexit Britain. The trip to the City of Light also marked William’s first official visit to Paris since his mother, Princess Diana’s death. Emily Nash, a royal correspondent for HOLA!’s sister brand HELLO! said, "Although William has visited Paris several times since the death of his mother, this is his first official trip there on behalf of the Government. While his and Kate's visit is very much about boosting UK-French relations, it will also be a poignant one, coming in Diana's 20th anniversary year."

Meanwhile it was revealed last week that the couple’s son Prince George will begin private school at Thomas’s London Day School in Battersea this September. A spokesman for Kensington Palace said: "Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education." The co-ed school in south London places great emphasis on a set of core values, which includes kindness, courtesy, confidence, humility and learning to be givers, not takers. Former pupils of Prince George's future school include model Cara Delevingne and singer Florence Welch.
