World Cup 2014 coverage:

Karlos Dansby optimistic of chances of staying with Cardinals

National Football Post

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby expects to remain with his current team for at least another season.

He led the Cardinals in tackles and interceptions and recorded 6.5 sacks.

"I definitely expect to be an Arizona Cardinal next year," Dansby said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "We don't have long here (before free agency), so we'll get to talking and try and hammer something out."

Dansby, 32, is upbeat about his prospects.

"I've got some things up my sleeve to solidify myself as the best linebacker in the league, period," Dansby said. "I let it slip through my fingers last season. I won't let it happen again."
