Being Justin Bieber’s stylist is not an easy job. That’s not just because he has a unique taste in clothing, nor because of that bad-boy phase he went through. In a recent Instagram post, stylist Karla Welch revealed one of the big drawbacks of dressing Bieber: trolls.

You guys, you know you've made it when you've got haters ????????

“You guys, you know you’ve made it when you’ve got haters,” Welch captioned a screen shot of comments from a user named @bizzlesin, a Belieber who seemed to be very displeased with Welch’s styling decisions when it comes to the pop god.

“Claim u a stylist yet u making justin look homeless,” one comment so eloquently read. And there’s more: “Why tf you making justin dress so damn ugly.”

Clearly, this user is unaware of how styling works. There is no making anyone wear anything, usually. It’s quite the opposite; likely Welch got a feel for his taste when she began working with him and picks out items she thinks he will like. If he doesn’t like anything she presents him? Chances are, she doesn’t say, “Too bad, beggars can’t be choosers.” She goes back to the drawing board. Hasn’t this person ever watched an episode of The Rachel Zoe Project?

This isn’t the first time Bieber’s fans got feisty with Welch, who has also styled Michelle Williams, Lily Collins, Zooey Deschanel, Hailee Steinfeld, and Olivia Wilde. Before last year’s Grammy Awards, Beliebers harassed her to put him in a suit (which she did).

Apparently, fans aren’t happy with his thrown-together, frumpy style of late, which resembles Mugatu’s Derelicte, the Zoolander villain’s fictional fashion line “consisting of the necessary wears acquired by homeless people in order to survive the rigors of street life,” as High Snobriety put it.

What, you don’t like his khaki shorts-over-jeans combo or Kevin Federline-aligned style? Perhaps it is time for Welch to wield a little bit more influence on her client.
