The June 2012 Detroit Tigers' schedule gives the team a chance to do some real damage in the American League Central. A rough start allowed the Cleveland Indians to jump out to a lead in the division, but it's a very similar situation to what took place in 2011. Now the Tigers have to pull it together and play better in June.
During the month of June, the Tigers play 15 games against National League opponents. They will take on teams from each of the NL divisions in an odd scheduling quirk. In addition to those 15 games, the Tigers have a tough three-game series against the New York Yankees and three more games against the Indians to start out the month.
