Dropping off: Mike Wright (102nd), Mike Foltynewicz (116th), Archie Bradley (125th), Joe Kelly (131st), Raisel Iglesias (144th), Rafael Montero (150th), Steven Wright (155th), Travis Wood (159th)

o I’m worried enough about Cueto’s elbow that he hasn’t regained his usual seat in the top 10. There’s also the likelihood of a trade lurking. A deal might help his value by getting him to a friendlier ballpark, but it’s more likely to hurt him a bit, since he could go to the AL and he’d probably end up with a team with a weaker defense than Cincinnati’s (of course, the Reds’ defense is a little weaker now, too, with Zack Cozart out for the year).

o I was pretty pessimistic about Fister in last week’s column, but his velocity crept back up somewhat in his second start back from the disabled list Thursday against the Braves. He still tumbles a few spots in the rankings, but it’s higher than he would have been had I done these a week ago.

o Matz would have debuted in the 60-65 range if I had posted them before his start. The strong showing Sunday against the Reds moved him up to No. 54. His command isn’t great, and pitching into the eighth, as he did in his debut, isn’t something he’ll do often at all. The stuff, though, is plenty good, and he notches the highest rankings debut of any pitcher this year.

o I wasn’t sure where to put Aaron Sanchez, since the Jays are reportedly considering bringing him back from the disabled list as a reliever next month. If that happens, he could quickly assume the closer’s role. However, it’s still my guess that they’ll trade for a closer, and if they do that, Sanchez is more likely to remain an unexceptional fantasy SP.
