The July 2012 Boston Red Sox schedule is a tough one, especially because the team has to play itself back into the race for the American League East title. A rough start to the season has put the team in a difficult position, but the Red Sox could still become buyers as the July trade deadline approaches.
The month isn't an easy one for the Red Sox though, as the team plays the New York Yankees seven times. Boston also plays the Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers three times each throughout the month of July as well as a four-game series against the Chicago White Sox.
July will definitely prove if the Red Sox are good enough to make it to the postseason, but by then the outfielders should all be back from injury.
