Mourinho: Arsenal has run out of excuses

Jose Mourinho has insisted he will not be disappointed if Chelsea does not win the Premier League title.

The Blues went top of the table with a 3-0 win against Newcastle on Saturday after previous leader Arsenal was thumped 5-1 at Liverpool and fellow title chasers Manchester City drew 0-0 with Norwich City.

But, despite dropping just four points of a possible last 30, Mourinho played down his side's chances of the title and insists he will only regret it if his men fail to keep up their recent form.

"It won't be disappointing if we don't finish top. I will be disappointed if my team can't keep this level," he told reporters. "If we don't win tomorrow [at West Brom] it's not just about the title contenders [going above us], it's about Spurs and Everton closing the gap.

"Do I like to be top of the league? Of course I like. I don't how many points it will take to finish top. Every team in the league will be very influential."

Mourinho also paid tribute to Eden Hazard, who has been in scintillating form of late after netting a superb hat-trick against Newcastle to give Chelsea the edge on the title race.

"He's a tremendous young guy, so special," he said. "He's a family guy, he's married with kids and he's very stable.

"Hazard is more strong physically and mentally. He likes to win and he accepts the responsibility of being a big player."

Meanwhile, Fernando Torres is ready for selection again after suffering ligament damage in January and John Terry could make a return for the FA Cup fifth-round clash at Manchester City on Saturday.

"John Terry is still out. Fernando is back and available for selection. I expect John to be back for the next game [against City]," he added.
