Jordan won't play for UCF this season

UCF senior shooting guard Marcus Jordan has decided not to play basketball this season, weeks after the NCAA announced a postseason ban for the team.

The school said Jordan's decision had little to do with the penalties imposed by the NCAA.

The youngest son of Michael Jordan averaged 13.7 points and 2.4 assists per game last season.

Two other players -- Cliff Reed and Josh Crittle -- decided to leave the program. Reed is a former Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference player of the year. He will attend Georgia Southern after sitting out last season at UCF and never playing for the Knights.

Crittle recently visited DePaul but has not announced where he might play in 2012.
