On Thursday, Team USA beat Team Canada in the gold medal game of the World Juniors 5-4 in a shootout. After that game, Toews tweeted that he had lost the bet, but didn’t say exactly what he had to do.

Toews, who is from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Kane, who is from Buffalo, New York have played one another several times in major international competitions with Toews always coming out as the victor. This happened at the 2007 World Juniors, 2010 Olympics, 2014 Olympics and 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
