Jonas Valanciunas, Raptors defeat Pistons, 110-100

The Toronto Raptors played an efficient game offensively, shooting 42-88 (47.7%) from the field and turning it over just eight times, in a 110-100 win over the Detroit Pistons. Toronto (21-6) is now on a five-game winning streak.

Jonas Valanciunas put up 17 points on 6-11 shooting from the field and 5-10 from the free throw line. Other top contributors for Toronto included Kyle Lowry with 15 points and seven assists, James Johnson with 12 points and eight rebounds, and Terrence Ross with 11 points and six rebounds. Despite the loss, Brandon Jennings scored 22 points for Detroit on 8-18 shooting (2-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-5 from the free throw line. He also registered eight assists. Greg Monroe contributed 17 points and seven rebounds and Josh Smith finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

After putting up a sparkling assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.00, the Raptors are 5-1 on the season when eclipsing 2.50 in this category. However, the Pistons are 1-2 when allowing their opponents to achieve such a lofty ratio.

Detroit (5-22) has now dropped their last three in a row.
