Ed Davis registered his 1st double-double this season, scoring 21 points and registering 12 rebounds, to help the Memphis Grizzlies blow out the Phoenix Suns, 110-91. The Grizzlies played an efficient game offensively, shooting 46-84 (54.8%) from the field and turning it over just 8 times. Memphis (9-8) picked up the win after falling to Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
Davis went 8-11, in a good performance. Memphis also got solid performances from Jon Leuer with 23 points and 9 rebounds, Mike Conley with 18 points and 14 assists, and Kosta Koufos with 14 points and 12 rebounds. On 7-15 shooting, including 3-5 from behind the arc, Marcus Morris put up 18 points off the bench for Phoenix in the loss. Goran Dragic contributed 16 points and 5 assists, Miles Plumlee finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Markieff Morris put up 10 points and 8 rebounds.
In addition to their eFG% of 57.7%, the Grizzlies recorded a TO% of 8.7%. They are 1-0 this season when turning the ball over on fewer than 10% of their possessions while also eclipsing 55% in eFG%. On the other hand, the Suns are winless (0-2) when allowing such performances to their opponents.
Phoenix (9-9) has now lost back-to-back games after falling to Utah on Saturday.
