HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Tony Johnson scored 17 points to lead five Lafayette players in double figures as the Leopards held off Colgate 80-67 Wednesday night to win their fourth straight game and sweep the season series.
The Leopards (16-14, 9-4 Patriot League), who limited the Raiders to their lowest output of the season in a 69-40 win on Jan. 30, shot 59.3 percent in the first half (16 of 27) to lead 41-31.
The Raiders (11-19, 5-8) pulled within three points on four occasions in the second half, the last time at 66-63 with 4:53 left, but could get no closer.
Murphy Burnatowski, whose 24 points - including five 3-pointers - led the Raiders, was the only Colgate player to score more than six points.
