Wall went 9-15 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line, in a solid performance. Other top performers for Washington were Marcin Gortat with 13 points and 6 rebounds, Trevor Booker with 12 points and 7 rebounds, and Nene Hilario with 10 points and 7 rebounds. On 8-15 shooting, including 2-6 from behind the arc, Kirk Hinrich scored 18 points for Chicago in the loss.
This drops Chicago (18-20) to 0-2 against Washington on the year.
Coming up, the Wizards play the Detroit Pistons, who are 16-23 on the season. The Bulls go up against the Philadelphia 76ers, currently sitting at 13-26 this year. The Wizards emerged victorious each of the last two times against Detroit. The Bulls are 0-1 versus Philadelphia this season.
