Poor shooting (eFG% of 44.3%) combined with sloppy ball-handling (TO% of 20.1) proved too much to overcome for the Hawks. On the season, they are winless (0-2) when posting an eFG% of worse than 45% while also giving the ball away on more than 17% of their possessions. The Nets are undefeated (2-0) when coaxing their opponents into such substandard offensive showings.
Atlanta (18-17) has now lost three straight games.
Coming up next, the Nets take on the Golden State Warriors, who are 23-13 on the year. The Hawks match up against the Indiana Pacers, currently 27-6 this season.
