Joe Johnson: Foot Feels Good

Rotowire.com
Update: Johnson stated last Friday that his left foot is now "100 percent" following a bout with plantar fasciitis during the second half of this past season, the ESPN New York reports.

Recommendation: Johnson has been nursing the foot since the Nets were eliminated in seven games by the Bulls in the first round of the postseason. It'll be interesting to see his role under new coach Jason Kidd's coaching staff, after managing to post 16.3 points (on 42.3 percent shooting), 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers, and 0.7 steals in 36.7 minutes per tilt over 72 games during an injury-plagued campaign. The soon-to-be 32-year-old is unlikely to put up 20 points per night, as he has failed to do so in each of the past three seasons, but he remains a better-than-average threat from three-point range.
