Joakim Noah earned his 16th double-double this season, scoring 21 points and registering 16 rebounds, to help the Chicago Bulls pummel the Philadelphia 76ers, 103-78. Chicago (19-20) has now won seven of their last 10 games.
Noah went 9-14, in what was an efficient performance. Chicago also got solid performances from D.J. Augustin with 19 points and 8 assists, and Carlos Boozer with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Despite the loss, Thaddeus Young scored 12 points for Philadelphia on 6-17 shooting.
In addition to 10.5% from 3-point range, the 76ers tallied an eFG% of just 36.1%. They are 1-9 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bulls, conversely, are 9-3 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
This drops Philadelphia (13-27) to 1-1 against Chicago on the year.
Coming up, the Bulls play the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 15-25 on the season. The 76ers go up against the Washington Wizards, currently sitting at 19-20 this year. The 76ers have a 1-1 record against Washington this season.
