Jimmy Graham says TE or WR designation not for him to decide

New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham took the high road when asked if he regards himself as a tight end or a wide receiver.

Graham plays the majority of his snaps lined up outside, an important point as the Saints try to determine whether to designate him as their franchise player because the wide receiver tag is $5 million more expensive than a $6.709 million tight end franchise tag.

"That's not for me to decide," Graham said via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "I'm going to do, and I'm going to play, whatever I'm asked to do. It's that simple."

No deal is imminent for Graham.

"For me, I'm just standing," Graham said. "I take everyday one day at a time. I'm just going to wait and see what happens because that's where it's at."
