Jim Harbaugh declines to address his quarterback situation

National Football Post

Let’s see if we can keep this straight.

Earlier this week, Jim Trotter of reported that Jim Harbaugh told Alex Smith that Colin Kaepernick would be the team’s starting quarterback Sunday at New Orleans.

Then, this morning 49ers safety Donte Whitner said on “The Dan Patrick Show” that Kaepernick would start.

But when practice ended this afternoon in Santa Clara, Calif., Harbaugh declined to address the situation.

It's just not something we think is an advantage for us to talk about," Harbaugh told reporters, according to "You have your opinions on it, if it's unorthodox, so be it. You can call me names if you want, or make a fool of me, but that's the way we're going to go about it."

We’ll see how Kaepernick does in his second NFL start, right?
