The New York Jets signed tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday. Winslow, 29, had a three-day tryout with the team earlier this week. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. There are questions about the health of Winslow's knees after numerous surgeries on them. He played in just one game in 2012 for the New England Patriots and caught one pass for 13 yards. In 2011, Winslow played in 16 games, including 15 starts, and caught 75 passes for 763 yards and two scores.
